HULA HOOP |
DOB:
May 03/09
|
Sire: Sunset Acres Hoops
Dam: Windcrest
Sierra
Hoops
full pedigree can be viewed on our “Jennets”
page, by clicking on the picture of her head.
Hoops is a “late bloomer” deciding not to foal
till she reached the age of five. She is in
foal to Jeremiah for May/10.

|
 |
| BIG
WOODS SECRET CHARM |
DOB:
July 27/05
|
Sire: Circle C Motown’s Secret
Dam: Big
Woods LN Miss BoPeep
Charms
full pedigree can be viewed on our “Jennets”
page, By clicking the head picture. Like Hoops,
Charm is another late bloomer. She is so black,
it is difficult to get a good picture of her,
as she always ends up looking like a silouhette.
She is in foal to Jeremiah for a May/10 foaling.
She is also a granddaughter of our beloved “Ajustabo”

| HAA
PRECIOUS CHRISTMAS GIFT |
DOB:
Dec./05
|
Sire : Fishers Jeremiah
Dam: MGF
Precious Girl
“Noels”
full pedigree is on our “Jennets” page. This
is our first mature progeny of Jeremiah. She
is a super sweet petite jennet, and a lovely
brown MSF. She is in foal to “Black Jack” for
spring 2010.

 |
| LN
I’M A DARLIN |
DOB:
May /07
|
Sire: MGF Impressive Marks
Dam: LN
Darlee
Darlin
is one of our few jennets we’ve bred at two
yrs. of age. She has been a very fast developer,
and our experience has been they just do better
when bred to foal at three, when they mature
so quickly. She can be quite a bossy gal at
the feed trough though with us she is very
sweet jennet. In foal to Black Jack for summer
of 2010.
|
|
 |
| LN
I’M ASHLEY |
DOB:
Aug./07
|
Sire: MGF Impressive Marks
Dam: LN
Ashes
Ashley
is a very black jennet, compared to her half
sister Darlin that is mostly white. They are
also best of friends, and make a striking pair
together in the pasture. Both jennets are typical
of LN’s quality breeding. She fits well in
our program of alternating Black and Spotted
animals with each other.

|
| KZ
PRIME ELEGANCE |
DOB:
July/07
|
Sire: Dewey Acres Primo
Dam: Allen
Acres Sweet Black Cherrie
Elegance
is definitely the loud colour we like, and
even though we have many black & whites, but Elegance still manages to stand out with her lovely unique patterning.
This year she will be matched with “Skippy”
that will bring his lovely conformation to
this pairing.

|
| PEKARD’S
LITTLE MISS OOPS |
DOB:
July/08
|
Sire:
Might Small Black Jack Cadillac
Dam: Apple
Jacks Shasta
OOP’s
dam Shasta decided to foal 3weeks early, with
no signs, and picked a night of a very violent
thunder storms filled with lightening, to disappear
into the back forty, to foal. The only blessing
was it was a very warm night.
We’ve since discovered Shasta & her
whole family are very independent donkeys.
They are affectionate to us, but lack any attraction
to the herd. Her dam & sire are both on our web site.
|
|
 |
| SHADEY
LANE PEKARD’s BETA |
DOB:
Apr./06
|
Sire: Circle
C Winston
Dam: Shadey
Lane Sassy
Beta is definitely
our follow you anywhere, and steal anything donkey!
We did not breed her last year as she was part
of a matched pair of driving donkeys. She is
a really nice square little donkey with most
of her bloodlines being Circle C. This year she
will be matched with our spot jack Jeremiah. Her dam is on our web site.
|
|
 |
| LN
PEKARD’s EBONY |
DOB:
May/08
|
Dam: LN Ajustabo
Sire: LN Habheggars
Thunder
Ebony as her
name implies is quite black. We had hoped for
a spot donkey, but as Ebony has matured we’ve
discovered she is our resident comedian. Stealing
cell phones, stethoscopes from vets, you name
it, she’ll grab it and run! She is very graceful
looking which belies her impish nature. Ajustabo
is our jennets web page.

 |
| LN
PEKARDS TOSTITA |
DOB:
May./08
|
Sire:
Lake Mutiny Farm Admiral LN Tadpole
Dam: Heikens
Ark Rosita
Tostita
is our littlest jennet. At 20mos. of age she
is 29”and she may reach 30”.She has made a
career of using her small size to her advantage,
going under fences, pretending to be a creep
fed foal She is little, black, & perfect. Her dam is on our web page.

MOCHA SURPRISE |
DOB:
May/09
|
Sire: Gladybrook
Skip
Dam: QUERRY’S
Q-T’s LN TADS MOCHA
We refer to
Surprise & Etty as the twins, as they are hard to tell apart, as are their dams. They are
both really nice square stocky bodied jennets
with lovely feminine heads. These types of jennets
will form the basic foundation of our herd.

|
 |
| PEKARDS
MLLE. SKIP-ETTE |
DOB:
May /09
|
Sire:
Gladybrook Skip
Dam: LN
Malley Mae
With a
“post in every corner” appearance topped off
with nice chiseled heads, these two jennets
are perfect in every way. They are reminders
to us, why we introduced Skippy back into our
breeding program, when he was 22yrs. old! To
view the pedigree of the dams of Skip-ette & Surprise, please
go to the Canadian Livestock records/donkey section, and the
extended pedigrees of all our animals are there.

KEWPIE DOLL |
DOB:
May.09
|
Sire:
Parkside (Fishers) Jeremiah
Dam: Keepsake
Poppin Que
Kewpie
was Jerry’s first foal of /09 and it was at
her arrival, we knew Jerry had been the right
jack for us. Kewpie’s dam is a bit taller than
we like at 35”, but Kewpie does not indicate
at this age she will be tall. She is petite & compact like the rest of her siblings. We just adore her colour pattern.
|
|

|
| PEKARDS
JEMMA |
DOB: June/09
|
Sire:
Parkside(Fishers) Jeremiah
Dam: Big
River Emma
Jemma
has both her parents with their extended pedigrees
on their respective web pages. What can we
say, she has a great pedigree, she’s Blk & Wht. Jemma is small & compact and just about everything we can ask for. Jerry crossed with black seems
to be giving us, just what we ordered.
|
|
 |
| PEKARDS
CHERRY |
DOB: Jun./09
|
Sire: Parkside (Fishers) Jeremiah
Dam: Windsong’s
Miss Chips
Cherry
was Jerry’s third daughter, and by now, we
were seeing a pattern develop! Cherry has Jerry’s
head & colour we couldn’t be more pleased. We thought we would sell some of these daughters
at first, but they are turning out so nicely
we’ve decided to hold onto them. We may re-visit
the idea of selling them, after we see what the 2010 foal
crop looks like.

| PEKARDS
JEZZI |
DOB: Jul/09
|
Sire: Parkside (Fishers) Jeremiah
Dam: Shady
Lane Jazz
Jezzi
started out with her colour being grey/dun & wht., and seems as tine goes by, the darker she gets, Once again we’ve decided
to wait & see what spring has waiting for us, underneath all that foal & winter :shaggy coat, Shr has quite a bit of Cirle C in her pedigree.
Her sire & Dam
have their extended pedigrees elsewhere on
our site.

 |
| PEKARDS
KEESTER |
DOB:Jul,/09
|
Sire : Fishers Rastus
Dam :
Brayers R Us Keepsake
Keesters
dam is not our friendliest donkey, but Keester
is the exact opposite. Keester is a pocket-
donkey following us everywhere. She is the
same MSF marked as her dam, but we feel she
is much prettier. Probably because we’re so
used to seeing only the hind end of her dam
.Keepsake has beautiful foals, which keeps
her in our herd, despite her attitude.

|
 |
| PEKARDS
SHILOH |
DOB: Aug/09
|
Sire : Fishers Rastus
Dam: Applejacks
Shasta
Shiloh
being a gray/dun would have normally be a disappointment,
but it sure is not in this case. She is by
far the prettiest of our foal crop. She is
still quite young, but to us she has the nicest
conformation. I can hardly wait to clip her
and confirm what my hands are already telling
me.

| PEKARDS
NANA |
DOB: Aug./09
|
Sire: Fishers Rastus
Dam: Shady
Lane Sassy
Nana has
a long way to go before being a brood jennet,
but she will growing up with us, so she might
as well join the rest of her peers. Like her
sire she is Black NLP, but wearing her winter
woolies here. Lots more pictures to come!

The
term FUTURE BROOD JENNETS covers a large category.
I’ve included all the jennets in our barn, that
at this moment in time we are keeping, and that
have never foaled. A few are foaling this spring,
and some will be bred this spring I have listed
them in order of age and most have parents on our
web pages jennets/herdsires, just click the head
photos for info. All our donkeys are registered
in the Canadian Registry database.
http://www.clrc.ca/cgi-bin/query.cgi?_association=45
or by typing
Canadian Livestock Record Corporation, and going into the Donkey Pedigree Database, for extended
pedigrees.
